In a context of market and customer consolidation, we have engaged in transforming our organization to better prepare our company for the demands and risks of tomorrow. With this goal in mind we have separated our industrial and quality functions to create two new global divisions: Quality and Compliance, headed by Marc Bistuer, and Industrial Operations, Supply Chain and Sourcing, headed by André Mathieu.

In this position, André is responsible for  worldwide pharmaceutical, biological, hygiene and nutrition production activities, as well as overseeing  the Corporate Supply Chain and Sourcing departments, with a  focus to drive  Virbac forward in our efforts to become more competitive. Additionally, André is  responsible for the Group's industrial change management and training.

André Mathieu reports to Sébastien Huron, chief executive officer, Virbac Group, and will join the Group's executive committee as of July 1, 2023.

"With this new corporate organization and André Mathieu's resulting new role, we are continuing to shape Virbac to better meet the market's industrial competitiveness challenges. This is both a requirement and an opportunity, given the consolidation of the market and customers", explains Sébastien Huron.

Before joining Virbac, André Mathieu, a graduate engineer from the Ecole Centrale/Supélec, spent most of his career with the Danone group. André's experience with Danone began with managing various transformation projects at corporate level, before moving on to manage the supply chain in France and Southern Europe for the Medical Nutrition division. He then became Operations director for the Americas, based in Sao Paulo (Brazil). Joining the head office in The Netherlands, André took on the role of Global Product Sourcing and Innovations director for the Early Life Nutrition division and then managed  the Specialized Nutrition operations for the Americas zone, as well as the Asia, Middle East, and CIS supply chain.
